OSPF routing protocol is one of the most important routing protocol.The security flaws of OSPF lead to endless network attacks,which seriously threatens the security of internet.We discussed two problems in this paper.First,OSPF phantom routing false adjacency is researched in various network scenarios.Then,a simulation platform is designed and implemented to test routing protocol security.The main work is as follows.1.We proposed a new attack of OSPF protocol named local phantom routing false adjacency attack.First,we studied the OSPF protocol security flaw that exists in the adjacency process,analyzed the attack principle and parameters,identified specific attack steps.Then,we proposed local phantom routing false adjacency attack that can cause traffic eavesdropping.2.We designed and realized a simulation platform to verify network routing protocol security.This platform is based on Dynamips and Qemu,which could simulate nodes that can match with the real network devices.Then,we designed and realized the attack module to satisfy the main demand of security research.In addition,this simulation platform adopted the distributed C/S architecture,which is better for sharing network resources and saving hardware resources.This simulation platform can solve the problems that lightweight virtualized simulation could not provide real experiment as well as we lack tools in routing protocol security research.3.We verified the phantom routing false adjacency on the simulation platform.First,we designed and built various experimental network attack cases.Then,we studied different attack methods by constructing one or more phantom route way.At last,we simulated and verified all the attack cases and attack methods in the network simulation platform.4.We proposed a new method against phantom routing false adjacency.We bring out solutions in OSPF protocol stack and OSPF security configuration.
