Small Change Of Power In Social Media Era

With the rapid development of information technology, social media was born. As anew kind of media, social media have changed human’s reading habit, the mode ofcommunication and life. Even more important, it have changed power structure of oursociety. For this reason, we want to explore the power change by analyzing Sina Microblog,that is a representative social medium. Firstly, we discussed the technologicalinfrastructure of the change, which includs the development of social media and mobileinternet technology. Secondly, we analyzed the formation mechanism of the new power, agroup of different people’s personal rights. The new power is formed by attractionmechanism, identification mechanism and concerted action mechanism. In addition, thenew power has rocked other power, like the transformation of mess media the return andpublic power. Thirdly, we analyzed the limits of the change, which includes the limits ofSina Microblog, new power subject and new power itself. At last, we raised that all kindsof power subject should be respecting power, rather than abusing it.
