The rapid development of the Internet today is transition from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0. "networked citizen communication" as a new word, can comprehensive overview of the current Internet environment evolving information communication mode.With the emergence of "user-generated content" concept, creating a new network media forms- social media.It initiated by Internet users and participation, provides Internet users with personalized information production, accumulation, sharing, the spread of the independent space, and more and more attention of the academia and industry, the various media forms.In this paper, in order to fully understand the concept of social media and gives accurate definition, the author will present the existence of three transmission modes were compared with media, from the Angle of more objective and easy to understand the concept of social media, form and features to make some superficial analysis.Through case analysis, the driving of the social media,media produced some of the phenomenon and the root of group behavior found in transmission. Through the swarm behavior of social media, for analysis of changes in a group activity has affected the process of information communication and interaction and the change of the community, how does it affect the market, the changes of the economic, political, and other fields, so as to deepen the research achievements of social media. As Marshall Mc Luhan, the development of the society of standard is not the transmission of the contents of this age, but the communication tool. Therefore, as the communication tool, virtual social media occupy the dominant position of the realistic society, also has certain theoretical significance for the research.
