In recent years, our economy is developing rapidly as well as the level of our life isimproving,which make the car industry develop rapidly.In modern society, thedemand of cars is becoming larger and larger. The increased demand of cars and carindustry will make people pay more attention to the problem of the vehicle supply chainmanagement, and inventory management which is the indispensable importantcomponent in the supply chain management have caused wide attention.The science and technology are developing which can overcome the shortage oftraditional vehicle inventory management department, the relatively independent,artificial management, the high human cost,and has become the security and foundationof the implementation of the vehicle inventory management system. The increasing andchanging needs of vehicle inventory management ask for providing more functions andservices, such as the real-time management of large data, data sharing and theintegration of job functions, etc.In this paper, the design and implementation of vehicle inventory managementsystem which is a subsystem of the vehicle sales system, provides users with themanagement of inventory operations and inventory information online. Becoming thelink of sellers of warehouse management, automobile manufacturers, it make it possibleto accept and deal with the real-time the storage instructions of vehicle.So that itcan get the real-time tracking of vehicle’s operation of warehouse,report to the qualityof the car and store, manage, share the information producing during the process ofstorage.This paper introduces the development and background, the basic theory ofknowledge used during the development of software. Then after determining thesystem’s object, we begin the analysis of the function requirement and the characteristicrequirement. Considering the analysis of the requirement, we design the system. First,overall architecture of the system, then on the basis of the respective requirement andcharacteristic of the three modules which are inventory management, the design of themodules offering the flow chart and sequence chart is done. The system using c# development language for the development of the system, and selecting oracle as thedatabase to store and manage data, achieved the functions including car maintenance,check inventory, warehouse inventory, wholesale car back, pay car dispatch, vehiclemanagement finally. The implementation effect of the main class is shown in this paper.
