In the 1990's, with the rapid development of science and technique and continuous impetation into enterprise's production and inventory control, it becomes more complex and more exigent that how to handle the large amount information and resource needed by production and inventory management. Management model by men is to traditional to adapt to the need of enterprise, so more enhancement technique should be adopted by the enterprise and the integeration of information need to be higher enough to contain all kinds of resources of the company. So a new resource management theory and technique is born, which is called Enterprise Resource Planning, whose short is ERP.ERP is based on the modern information processing technique,orgins from the systemlized management idea, and provides a management platform of decision for the decision-maker and employee. As an advanced running model, ERP integrates information technique and management ideology, embodies the requirement of times, stimulates the enterprises to prepare resources reasonablely and to create fortune maximumly, and establishs of the basis of the enterprises living in the information era.In order to gain a uniform management, ERP integrates all the resources,which include three parts: production control, one of which is production planning and another is production; logistics management,one of which is sale, another is stock, and the last is inventory management; financial management, one of which is account hesuan, another is financial management, there are interfaces between them.The main function of the inventory management is to control the amount of the reserved material in order to support the normal production with a stable logistics and posses capital minimumly. The detail contents is creat inventory record of all the material, decide when to order new material ,notify the stocker to stock, and as a basis for the production; check the ordered material and load them in the depository and at the same time, check the quality of product and load them in the warehouse either. This paper research the design and implementation of the inventory management module of the ERP system.According to the modern inventory management theory, there are several inventory management models, such as indent point technique,supplier management model and join inventory control management and so on.JICM is the model that both enterprises lie in the adjoining nodes of the supply chain join in the planning of the inventory, to control the balance of two sides cooperationally. For example,consistence of supplier and receiver, product's intersuitablity, prices'interfavoriablity, trade model's formalization,sale and service's policies's commonlization, information's sharing and so on. JICM solves the problem of requirement enlargement due to enterprise's scattering inventory management and improves the synchronization of supply chain. JICM is different from supplier's inventory management in strengthen that both sides of the chain join at the same time, make the plan together. The result is each inventor manager,such as supplier, maker, saler thinks in the whole link,and gain a good consistence.This paper discussed the design and implementation of the inventory management module of the ERP system base on Join Inventory Control. This paper analyses the inventory management system, and concludes an 00 abstract model based on OOAD and UML technology. The Subject of this paper focuses on the establishing the implementation policy,the application architecture and database structure of inventory management system model.Firstly, this paper describes the main function model diagram of DaLian Union Packing Inc.Secondly, this paper puts forward the 3-tier C/S structure of this system by analyzing this system and application structure, and then analyses an advanced system analyzing and modeling thinking and method--OOAD. Using 2-phase development method, this paper analyses the requirement of UPI inventory management system, puts forward the diagram of operation flow and the diagram of data flow, establishes enterprise module, brings forward the solution of the return flow of producing material and the solution of the flow of checking material and the solution of other operation flow out of planning. Then it educes system module from enterprise module. Considering the feature of the user's demand, we isolate the business rules and encapsulate them in the form of middle components to deploy in servers. This paper establishes a model with UML, using use case diagram to show the functions of this system, and using sequence diagram to direct to carry out use case of system. It establishes database structure using the RDB technology.Finally, this paper realizes the inventory management system.
