It has been a long time that we use the delivery of paper documents as our traditional way to exchange documents in our country. In recent decades, the need of information dilivery speed and security has increased in every field, so the traditional way of railway document exchange can no longer meet the demand of information communication between railway departments. With the development of information technology and network technology, electronic official document rise in response to the proper time and conditions. Relying on its advantages,eg:fast delivery speed, convenience to save, space-saving and high security, it is developing so fast that it has been quickly widely used in departments of goverments and componies. But the railway system in our country leave behind and delay to keep pace of times for the reason of backward system and conservative attitude of the railway administrative department. For electronic information systems, information security is a problem that must be paid much attention. Enjoying the great convenience that network bring to us, we must strictly control the access to information and ensure the integrity of information, solve the relationship between openness and information privacy, connectivity and local isolation. The rapid development of cryptology in recent decades has solved the security issues in document exchange to some extend, such as digital signature, digital watermarking technology, document encryption, ePass authentication and digital certificates. But how to use the knowledge of cryptography in electronic document exchange system effectively to design safe, efficient and flexible electronic document system? I think there are still many problems to be solved.Based on digital signature and ePass, the Chengdu railway electronic document exchange system described in this thesis use the tools vs2010and sql2008, with B/S framework and role-based access control applied. The system contains these main functions: user authentication, documents sending management, documents receiving management, system management and so on.According to the social background described above, we in detail describe the topic that the research and implementation of raiway document exchange system based on digital signature Technology and ePass identification, conbined with the real condition of Chengdu railway document exchange system’s construction. Firstly, the thesis describes the background and significance of the subject, the current development status at home and abroad, the clues of the ideas, and the sections of the thesis arrangement. Secondly, the thesis gives the system needs’analysis, and points out what the system needs to achieve and what functions the system required to have, using the data flow diagrams to describe the functional modules of the operational processes, and gives the corresponding data dictionaries. Then, the thesis develops system goals according to the above analysis, and describes the system functions into modules at the same time. Then the thesis introduces the design thought, implementation procedure and the key technology used. At the same time, the thesis describes the system’s operating environment and operating results, summarizes the contents of the research and prospects in the future.
