The hydro-geological work of mining is relative to mine’s safety, our country have a great deal of mining hydrogeology data which are quite completed. So it is essential to manage and analysis these large amounts of data effectively and Scientifically. It is of great significance to instruct mine production and mine disaster prevention.The management of hydro-geologic has a big quantity data. It has not only attribute data, but also spatial data. The mode of traditional CAD and attribute database has not adapted to the modern hydro-geologic management. With the development of science and technology, GIS(GIS-Geographic Information System) can achieve the combination of spatial data and attribute data with its powerful features. The hydro-geological information of mine has become an inevitable trend.This paper researched and summarized related achievements at home and abroad, then established hydro-geological information management system which based on GIS. It is first to describe the thinking and method of building mine hydro-geological information management system. Then based on the actual hydro-geological situation in Luling Mine, we developed a convenient and practical mine hydro-geological information management system by using of ArcGIS Engine which is component software and visual programming tool Visual Basic which takes SQL Server2000as the database.System has the main achievement of the integrated management system maps, text, tables. System has realized the function not only data collection and protract of hydrogeologic map, but also scan information, query and statistic, spatial analyses, integrated management and so on. System interface is simple, friendly and easy to learn and use.This paper establishes hydro-geological information management system based on GIS, which implements the visualization of the mine hydro-geological information management effectively and offers effective support for production units and management.
