Design And Implementation Of The Report Development In Education Management Platform

IT has spawned the development and prosperity of e-government and e-commerce in the information age, data’s collection, transmission, interactive, display and other issues are becoming more and more appreciable and remarkable. How to handle data accurately and demonstrate to those who access to information effectively, the report is undoubtedly a good choice. With the reform of the national education system, educational information is put forward higher requirements continuously. Educational management platform is at the core role in the management of a school, and is a good help when it comes to colleges and universities to carry out research work and education. At present, various colleges and universities have their own educational management platforms, and the basic modules are similar to most of these platforms. The report module is a professional tool in processing the data and presenting the data, and its importance to the university educational management activities is self-evident. While there are many reporting tools at home and abroad, there are some shortcomings more or less, such as fewer report templates are provided by some reporting tools, report style lack of flexibility, some reporting tools only focus on the development function, and ignoring the user experience, and some report design software without having good scalability and so on.In order to address these issues effectively, it is an inevitable requirement to seek a more efficient report tool to improve the level of educational information throughout the campus. This thesis absorbs the well-designed open source framework to enhance the development efficiency, and to reduce the complexity of the entire system development, all of which ensure the development of the quality of the entire system, and make the system and module have a good performance and portability.In the organizational structure of the content, this paper analyzes the development background as well as the development and application conditions of domestic and international educational management software. We summarize some of ubiquitous problems in the field of information management in report module, and clarify the practical significance of the research.And then this thesis takes research on BIRT (Business Intelligence Reporting Tools), which is a foreign open source software, and analyses the tool’s architecture and related technologies.Then combined with the actual needs of profession and continued development education college in Central China Normal University, this thesis analyses and designs the functional of report module. Guided by the principle,"Low coupling, high cohesion," report design puts full attention to the reusability of module, scalability and future compatibility, and uses the BIRT plug-in module technology as a development methodology. In the implementation links, this thesis introduces the achievement of some main reports specifically, including the letter of admission, the registration form, the admission ticket, paper bags form, the school report, degree report and other places.Finally, after taking the practical application testing result and analysis, it indicates the report part is available, stable and meets the needs of other aspects of educational management.The report module as part of the educational management platform, has been launched vocational and continuing education in Central China Normal University in June2013formally, and has been serving more than47,000students and teachers well.
