| At present, the report,as a powerful instrument of the information organization and analysis in various information management systems,has become one important part in an enterprise information system. With the rapid development of the Internet, enterprise information system gradually changes from the traditional client/server (C/S) structure to the Internet.More and more reports will be developed and ran in the Web environment. However, reports have flexible features. It has become a big problem that how to achieve report based on browser/server(B/S) mode for many users or developers.The paper analyzes the developing trends of report and the present situation of its tools, studies the MIS under the current mode of B/S and traditional mode of C/S and proposes the core module of report tools is componentized by report technology and reusing software, report components can be conformed with Web.The core of the system is BIRT, The system is mainly the second development of the report engine in BIRT. The system is divided into three modules:metadata vocabulary module, report design module and report display module. Accordingly, the workflow of system is divided into three parts:the metadata vocabulary design, the report designer section and the report generation part.This paper combines the thinking of design patterns, J2EE platform and the advantages of AJAX technology in the design and implementation of reporting system. The system uses AJAX technology in the front,which make the interface friendly and enhance user experience. XML configuration files are stored using vocabulary and report layout information, which improve scalability and maintainability.Finally, this paper details the design of the reporting system in the laboratory management system as well as future research directions. The next step of this study is to enhance the processing power of complex report, and make report design and buid prosess more simple and intelligent. |
