In recent years, with the rapid development of the Internet and the e-commerce, the enterprise informatization has been accelerated and developed very quickly. During years of practice, large amount of data have been accumulated. As an important sort of property, these data have valuable potential values, which can act as an vital support for the management and development of an enterprise. However, the level of the utilization of these data is very low in most enterprises. The way by which we make full and rational use of these data to serve the management and development of an enterprise has been being a crucial factor for the enhancement of the market competitiveness of an enterprise.It is now an urgent demand for the development of an enterprise to realize the scientization and informatization management, which can be promoted by analyzing the huge accumulated data, extracting valuable knowledge and discovering the trend from these data, and then illustrating them in an analysis report for the purpose of providing strong evidences to the manager to help make a correct decision. However, it is a quite time consuming effort to compile an analysis report by manpower because of the very complex data environment, so many categories of the analysis report and the personalization demands by enterprises, etc. So, it becomes an important task to develop a software toolkit to help generate different analysis reports automatically. At present, the corresponding software is rare, and all the existing software is not powerful enough to meet the demands.Based on the analysis of the storage environment and the structure of the accumulated data, the data integration demand of the analysis report, the middleware data integration technique and the plug-in software technique, we propose a framework based on the middleware and the plug-in techniques to implement the report editor of analysis report platform. In this framework, the following techniques and methods are used:(1) The plug-in technique is adopted to design and realize the wrappers, in each of which a kind of data source is encapsulated, and also the operations of the data capturing, extracting and transforming to a uniformed format. The purpose of the wrapper is to share the software modules among different existing report platforms for different heterogeneous data sources.(2) In order to convert the heterogeneous data collected and extracted from different systems into standard format data, we define a standard data model. The formatted data will appear in analysis report template.The model of analysis report template is developed by using the plug-in technique and a standard data model, and it has a multi-layer architecture. By this way, the cost for developing is reduced, so does the complexity of the system. Meanwhile, strong support is provided for the integration of interface object applications, and then the life of the system is extended.The reading functional modules of the analysis report platform is implemented, the report template can be read after interpreting. Additionally, the content of reading can be stored. The analysis report platform model can not only support the future extension and backwards compatibility, but also satisfy varied demands from users. With a personally predefined analysis report template, users can get the report they needed by simply setting some variables according to their specified demands.
