Applied Study Of Discovery System In Academic Research

Under today’s rapid development of information technology, resources construction of Library gradually shift to digital information resources from traditional print-based resources. How to improve digital library services, information resources issues become more important. In this context, there has been found discovery system provided by the database vendor and retrieval system service providers. Discovery system use pre-index based on different kinds of database and retrieval system of information resources, estab-lish a centralized index warehouse to provide "one-stop" resource retrieval and discovery services.This paper presents the problem of discovery system application to academic re-search. And try to process the academic research into the select topic of academic re-search, academic research, academic research and implementation process management, this paper will try to make system function applied to the three processes for academic research.In the first part, introduce the background and significance of discovery system, then discussed the domestic research and application status of the system. On the basis of that principle and system architecture, characteristics and classification and its supporting technologies are analyzed and discussed. After the completion of the basic theory re-search and exposition, on the academic research on the topic, the research process, achievements management three process were studied,respectively, integration metadata warehouse, examining the academic origin, aca-demic trend analysis function module were applied to academic research stage;visual analysis, accurate retrieval auxiliary retrieval, intelligent, seamless literature transfer function module used in the research process will be found;systems analysis of results output, multi-dimensional face clustering, stereo citation analysis module is applied to the process of academic research management. In the part of application with SuperStar discovery system, ChongqinVIP cubic-Zhi, knowledge discovery system, CNKI scholar resource discovery platform as examples, show the ap-plication method of the system and use procedures.Finally, this paper summarizes the powerful function of the discovery system, ana-lyzed the existing problems and the application level, analyzed the current status of the discovery system, and the future development trend of discovery system are studied..
