"Talk" of the basic definition, one is that:two people or many people talk together; the other is "published by talking to form opinions". Talk show programs are divided into many types, including news, entertainment and the like. However, some programs are not clear-cut division, but several types of fusion. Nowadays, in China more than two hundred file talk show, there have been some programs of high quality, but is also faced with problems such as homogeneity, the pressure of competition under the environment of media transformation. There have been countless studies of talk show both home and abroad, which included the host’s style of study, method of mass communication research, on column orientation and characteristic research and so on. This paper tries to interpret it in a new way, by combining discourse analysis with media research, applying the theory of discourse analysis to study the talk show programs. In all, the program has a fixed pattern in platform, positioning and content selection. Therefore, the author selects this program as the object. On August7,2011the program launched a weekend edition "Insight", lasted for45minutes, which can be divided into two parts, each part is about20minutes, including interview and a face-to-face talk with Jing, Chai, and the author chooses the latter part as the object of this study. This article take the weekend editions of "Insight" as the text, first carries on a brief analysis of the research background and the research sample, on this basis, analyzes the discourse of it in the aspects of text structure, micro structure and style, rhetoric. Through the analysis of the structure of the text, derives the news diagram form and shows how the program introduces the theme through the title, the news lead and other ways. The style of discourse is the form and symbol of specific social character of the speakers’and of the social culture in speaking situations. In a show, the choosing of the discourse style bases on the initial positioning of the show, at the same time, deeply influenced by the publicity and mass media properties etc.Another thing should be paid attention to is wording of the text content, the uniqueness of the hosts’and habits of discourse will also affect the show’s style. How "Insight" establishes the audience’s cognitive through the program and forms the reappearance of the scene? And, how these strategies achieve the desired objectives, so that the audience is aware of expressing the passions? These are the main focuses of the fourth chapter.Based on the above analysis, investigate the program "Insight" generally and draw roughly the regularities of that program, and reveal how the program realizes the communication between people and show how to present the facts in the process and explore the profound reasons and background of the events.
