Screws as indispensable parts play a role that cannot be neglected in daily life andindustry. Automatic screw lock machine is a device that can achieve screw auto conveyand lock. Some issues about automatic screw machine researched in this paper.The automatic screw machine is consists of four parts: vibrating plate, screwtransport system, screwing platform, master control system. Firstly, the whole frame ofautomatic screwing machine and workflow are introduced, the mechanical parts ofscrewing lock and convey system are designed, mainly is the structure design andmechanical analysis of screwing cusp part. Secondly, transport system has beenanalyzed and researched, in the process of screw transportation three times screwposition detection has been done, proximity switch is used for screw detecting at thefirst and second time, the pressure sensor is used for the third time screw positiondetecting,selected SCM–computer as testing and controlling pattern, the detect signalreceived by SCM and make corresponding action control, SCM output voltage tocontrol electromagnetic valve to control gas way, and then send the message back tocomputer. The process of pneumatic conveying has been theoretical analyzed at thisperiod; Screw locking control has been analyzed by experiments. At last, the size ofscrew cap is detected by the method of digital image processing.Using SCM-computer systems to detect and control the screw convey and lock in,the current of motor is used for detect and control torque. Basic achieve the automaticscrew convey test and control. The researching contents of this paper are expected to dosome useful work for the future studies and equipment research.
