Development And Implementation Of The Public Security Information Collection And Data Analysis System

In21st Century, Shanghai has experienced great development in social and economics and it has caused a sharp increase in the population, which put a higher demand on the efficiency of the jobs for public security such as case detection and the management of key person. The implement of information technology in public security system is a major focus. In1990s the Golden Shield Project is proposed, which emphasis on construction of public security information system. In21st century, the performance of computer hardware has experienced a huge boost and the costs are down. The technology of database and computer network is becoming more and more mature. The police departments all over the country have been putting emphasis on information construction.The topic of this paper is based on the project of application platform of Baoshan district in Shanghai. According to the demand of public security bureau in Baoshan district, a data warehouse based on the Oracle for collecting different types of data, such as data of the people and other social resources should be built. And a web information system should also be developed by using the J2EE technology, it should have a powerful management module and the function of the system can be easily expanded. This system is available to every department in the bureau, by using this system the users can query, modify or collect different types of information. This system also provides the users the function to analyze and compare the data. This makes the police finding out the information of people or event conveniently and largely supports the police in criminal investigation or population management.In this paper, the key technologies in developing the system will be introduced, and this paper will lay emphasis on building of the data warehouse and the development of the information system for information collecting and data analyzing.In the section of building the police data warehouse, the key point of the paper are the designs of data dictionary, the tables and fields and the technologies used to optimize the database performance will also be introduced. After that, the ETL (Extraction-Transformation-Loading) operating principle will be illustrated.In this paper the development of the information system will be introduced in three section, they are the requirements analysis, the preliminary design and the detailed design or implementation of the system. The key points are the principle of UI design, the interface design for general function, the management module designed for system security, the collecting and querying function and the design and implementation of different types of analysis and comparison function.
