With the application of the network and the development of the electronic commerce, the Oracle database's scale extends, the capacity increases continuously, and the requests of more functions for the Oracle database is raising continuously. How to raise the efficiency of the Oracle database and how to optimize the large amount of data becomes an important topic to a database manager.Firstly, this thesis describes the characteristics of the Oracle database, analyzing the necessity of the Oracle's performance optimization and the optimization contents. Then put forward the strategy of optimizing from the different level.Secondly, this thesis introduces the principle of the partition and the MV (Materialized View) to the optimization of the large amount of data. It is foundation to optimize MV to be capable of storing such large amount of the spatial data.Lastly, In order to raise the speed of the large amount of Data demonstration and Synchronization refresh, this thesis writes"Materialized View"module using PL/SQL, taking Shandong Province Road Traffic Information Management System as the example. It provides to the support frame of this need from the database server.
