Temperature and Stress field of long pulse laser irradiated Aluminum is one of the most important research fields of laser processing,In this paper, a two-dimensional axisymmetric model was established for temperature and stress field of long pulse laser irradiated aluminum LY12. COMSOL Multiphysics software was used to To solve the physical equations using the finite element method, based on heat conduction equation and the thermal elastic equations. Considering the Gauss laser parameters, thermal and mechanical material parameters are changing with temperature. The melting phase transition process of aluminum electrode material had been considered with the equivalent specific heat method. The laser parameters different power density and different radius effect on the temperature and stress field of long pulse laser irradiated Aluminum was studied. The results show that1.In the process of long pulse laser irradiated metal aluminum in LY12, temperature rises of the target was appeared at the surface, and as far from the center of the temperature decreases, the speed of the temperature changed was slow. At the phase transition temperature is reached, due to the latent heat of phase, the heating rate slow, and the temperature will continue for a period of time.2.Thermal stress is appeared by Laser irradiation and focused on the center of the surface radiation, which was decreased with the radius direction. And in the geometry of the target, tend to radiation center point stress maximum. The scale and the value of radial stress distribution is far greater than the axial, circumferential stress distribution. That can be seen the radial stress plays a dominant role in the injury.The results provides a theoretical reference for laser processes LY12aluminum material.
