Take the advantage of higher flexibility, better concealment、viability, and attacking capacity, more suitable for campaign in mountainous region and jungle area, armed helicopter act as a very important role. When a armed helicopter archieve its missions in low altitude with is high flexibility, clutters signal by terrain and ocean wave and vapour make additional difficulty of detection by sensors include land based radars. The technology for attacking armed helicopter by infrared ray and sonar is consummated, but only shorter attacking range campaign secenses are suitable for them. Finding out a way to detect helicopter as early as possible to make preparation minutes, still a problem for radars.Based on airborne phased array Radar, characteristic of gyroplane targets is analyzed in this paper first, and modeling simulation is introduced, and simulation result is presented last. With Hough transform, characteristic of gyroplane targets can be well analyzed and make the best detect performance. For High PRF airborne phased array Radar, it is available to detect these low speed or stillness targets by detecting the echo of main airscrew. But the RCS of the airscrew is smaller than the main body of the target about12db. We must find out a way to pile up the energy of airscrew to increase the SNR. This paper indicates the theory of Hough transform, and use them in helicopter detecting to increase the detect probability of Radar.
