The technology of phased array seeker, especially the technology of phased arrayradar seeker with conformal antenna is currently one of the advanced research areas inthe world. The research is carried out around the target detection and its related topics formissile-borne Phased-array PD (Pulse Doppler) radar. Traditional signal detectionmethods with PD guidance radar are applied to phased array conditions. Bytheoretical analysis and computer simulation, digital signal processing models, sequential detection algorithm in clutter background and supperession method ofmain-lobe mirror frequency interference are designed for missile-borne Phased-arrayPD radar. In this paper, the mainly research work includes:1. Through theoretical analysis, calculation and simulation, the classic methodsof target detection for PD radar are discussed in detail which are mainly thechi-square test method and F test method.2. The signal models and signal processing models for missile-bornePhased-array PD radar are established.3. A new CFAR detection algorithm in the clutter background on R-D(Range-Doppler) plane based on the sequential detection principle is proposed. Thismethod has the advantage of short target searching time. For real-time processing, apipeline realization method of the sequential detection algorithm is proposed.Theoretical analysis and computer numerical simulation prove the effectiveness of theproposed algorithm.4. A suppression method of mian lobe mirror-frequency interference based onmain lobe region estimation and main lobe clutter cancelation is proposed.Theoretical analysis and simulation result show that the method has advantages of lowcomputation and effectively suppressing the mirror-frequency components ofmain-lobe clutter while preserving the target frequency components that may exist inmirror-frequency area.
