Hospital inpatient ward emergency call system is indispensable equipment, the system normally is used in communicating experts with medical staffs, and improving health care quality and efficiency, and reducing medical errors. With integration of multiple technologies about computer and network and field bus and communication, the ward emergency call system develops toward intelligent direction. Now, the design of many call system use SCM control technology, which causes some deficiencies such as real-time monitoring, human-computer interface design, operation and other aspects of the application. Aiming of stability control, simple operation, real-time response, simple apply and low cost, Thinking of treatment needs of two different services about common patients and critically ill patients, and around demands of general ward nurses station emergency call and ICU nurses station and consultation center for emergency calling needs, the paper presents a hospital inpatient ward emergency call system based on Siemens PLC control technology to achieve emergency call control, and WinCC configuration technology to achieve advanced call system implementation monitoring. Aiming to different types of emergency call units installed in the nurses’ station, consultation center and wards, based on Siemens S7300PLC of Step programming control technology, system control uses linear program and modular program. By test and analysis for running results, the paper determines a modular program design methods to make the system extensions and on-line upgrade more convenient. Based on structure, regional, call, alarm, indication and other control functions of wards, nursing stations and consultation center, the paper designs human-computer monitoring system using WinCC configuration technology which is simple clear and easy to operate controls.The Paper analyzes and introduces all research and development process of ward call system. Using system design, hardware and soft control system design, and WinCC software configuration monitoring design, and simulation and functional analysis as the main line, the paper makes systematic description for hardware and software configuration process and design ideas and implementation process. Using modular programming, reliable PLC hardware configuration and variety of components to achieve real-time monitoring, make the system has good stability and practicality, and it has economic and human characteristics, and has broad application prospects.
