As we all kown, metrology is an activity through which the units unified and thevalues accurate and reliable. It is the technical and legal means to ensure accurate andreliable value and unit unified. Metrological verification refers to evaluate measuringperformance about the instruments, and determines whether it is qualified to carry out.How to detect each parameter of the measured instruments and determine qualificationevaluation form verification certificate to inspection data quickly and accurately havebecome one of the key research fields of metrological verification. In order to improvethe quality and efficiency of the detection work, the technology of field test, fieldprocessing, field reporting and field judge become imperative, which is realized byapplying wireless data transmission and quick data processing technology to themetrological work.In this paper, a metrological verification system has been designed andimplemented based on Wireless Data Communication and JAVAEE technology. Themain studies are focused on three aspects as below.The technology of system construction has been summarized. Firstly,metrological verification technology is introduced, through which the veracity ofmeasurement data is ensured. Secondly, several kinds of wireless transmissionmethods are compared detailedly and the advantage of GPRS wireless transmissiontechnology used in the system have been mainly analysed. Finally, the technologiccharacteristics of JavaEE and MVC technology development mode for the applicationsystem are introduced.Requirement analysis of the metrological verification system has been studied.Firstly, system requirements, functional requirements and performance requirementshave been analysed. Secondly, the business process and the verification certificategeneration process of metrological verification system have been described. Thirdly,the functions and contents of measuring instruments management module,metrological verification business module, and measurement standard managementmodule in the system have been introduced. Fourthly, the requirement of realizingwireless transmission to ensure the stability and safety of the system is discussed inthe paper.The design and implementation of a verification system have been achieved. According to the requirement analysis, the overall technical route and database for thesystem have been designed. Then, the design of calibration system function model andthe process of wireless transmission implementation have been introduced.The automatic evaluations of the uncertainty and the on-site automaticgenerating verification certificate have been performed in this system. The databasesof legal metrological verification regulations and standard have been set up. Practicehas proved that the verification efficiency and test accuracy had been greatlyimproved for The Hunan Institute of Metrology and Test though applying of thissystem. The results show that this system can be popularized to other provincial andcity technical institutions of metrology.
