With the increasing performance of computer hardware, physical infrastructure performance redundancy continuously improves. There were high cost and low efficiency problems about Web services platform resources. Traditional Web service platform has encountered a bottleneck. The topic was about improving resource utilization as well as physical infrastructure reliability and security of Web services through Web service virtualization platform built on the resources rationally overall planning.Research was based on virtualization platform construction technique. Reference to the large number of relevant literature, making elaborate multi-angle related technologies firstly, including the background, development and advantages of virtualization technology, principles and characteristics of load balancing and high availability, VMware virtualization component features.Secondly, the problems of Web services platform and the demand of current building were analyzed. Solutions to build Web service virtualization platform was proposed. According to the different application fields of virtualization technology, virtualization technology was divided into three parts as server virtualization, network virtualization and storage virtualization. Data center’s capability, high availability,load balancing could be improved by building through specific program.At last to study the Single Sign On system and deploy it to the virtualization platform for analyzing system performance and evaluate usability. The result showed that Web service platform based on virtualization met the requirement set proposed in the needs analysis.
