The research in this field should be based on the knowledge of risk management, project management and optical communication technology. The application and research in this field is still in a low level. In these years the scale of optical communication construction has been growing very rapidly. With the development of optical communication products, the scale of construction projects continues to expand, accelerating the speed, which is also on the management of project risk management has put forward higher requirements. This makes more important practical significance to carry out the study of optical communication products R&D projects.Firstly, this thesis summarizes the speciality of optical communication products R&D projects. Then go to study on some classical project risk management system and make a cycle improve project risk management model which is suitable for the rapidly changing risks in this field for optical communication products R&D projects.This thesis also systemically provides the best processes and methods for all four stages of the risk management circle,risk identification,risk analysis, risk response and risk monitoring and controlling.Risk identification is the basis of risk management. This thesis gives five risk identification methods for optical communication products R&D projects. Then a risk list will be made and further analysis and evaluation will be made with expert estimation and the matrix of risk probability. Using the result of identification and analysis, a response method to reduce risk will be made based on four optional countermeasures like risk aversion,risk retention, risk mitigation,risk transfer. Risk monitoring and controlling is the last stage in a risk management circle. Circle project risk management process is a dynamic cycling process and all four stages are associated tightly.Lastly, the risk management methods were applied to a optical communication products R&D projects case that was done during2011. During the progress of the project, many project risk management activities were carried out that including risk checklist, brainstorming, expert investigation, risk monitoring, risk countermeasure and so on. These activities and experience will be a good reference to other project managements in this field. |
