Design And Implementation Of Material Management System In Higher Vocational Colleges

With the continuous development of computer and network technology，datamanagement system is more and more used in large-scale transaction processing. Withthe expanding scale of higher vocational colleges nowadays, the amount of information onmaterial management will continue to increase, and the management process is certain tobecome more and more complex. Furthermore material management becomes oneimportant part among the managements in higher vocational colleges. Therefore toimprove the efficiency of material management can provide better service for teaching,scientific research and other work in the higher vocational colleges. Aiming at the presentcondition of the low efficiency of material management in higher vocational colleges, acomprehensive analysis is carried out about the current situation of materials managementin higher vocational colleges, and a material management system based on B/S structure isdesigned and implemented.In this paper, combined with my own work, based on the analysis of the actualsituation of material management of Shijiazhuang Information Engineering VocationalCollege, the overall design plan is formulated and the system solutions are put forward. Inthis paper the related techniques will be introduced. The system adopts the B/S three layersystem structure, regards.NET as a development platform, applies ASP.NET technologyas well as Ajax technology, and uses C#as the development language, meanwhile SQLServer2005is for database. The modules of the system are mainly as follows: basicinformation management, warehouse operation management, goods informationmanagement, inventory warning management, report print management, fixed assetsmanagement, and system management. Besides, each module has its own sub-modules.The system is successfully designed, and after being tested, the system can satisfy theneed of material management in higher vocational colleges. What’s more, it can liberatethe material managers from the tremendous and heavy work. It can improve the efficiencyof the material management greatly after it’s put into operation.
