As the market economy growing, the competition among enterprises is increasing. If enterprises want to remain invincible in the fierce competition, they must consider how to reduce the traditional cost. For the procurement, inventory, manufacturing and other sectors the impact most of enterprises, especially manufacturing assembly-oriented enterprises. At the same time the needs of customers changed quickly, customer orders for small quantities and high quality, and for varieties of delivery, product price, have put forward higher requirements. The traditional product-centric concepts gradually replaced by the concept of customer-centric. Rely on traditional means to manage these areas, can't make the procurement, inventory, manufacturing and other sectors of the enterprise information of timely communication and timely sharing. This results in a large number of blind procurement, inventory backlog, the production ratio imbalance and other phenomena, not only reduces efficiency, but also greatly increased the company's unnecessary costs.In order to resolve the material information management issue, we have developed a material management system. By analyzing the business workflow among different departments, this system is divided into different modules. This paper has designed each module's primary functions, data flows among modules as well as the calculation methods of materials management system. In base of the calculation method of traditional materials management system, we use reverse calculation method as well, which use the remaining stocks of key materials and capacity of production center to generate reverse production plan.This effectively improve the production efficiency when customer has additional orders, and avoid blind purchase in a certain extent.This paper also describes the key technologies of J2EE, as well as the current popular J2EE framework, and how to use the frameworks such as Ajax, Spring, Struts, and Hibernate to assist the development team. Using MVC design patterns to simplify the software development process and improve the performance and maintainability of software, making developers and designers avoid duplicate development.
