With the rapid development of the society economy, the problem of environmental pollution is increasingly troubling. China, as a large country, consumes almost most of the household electric appliances in the world, how to deal with waste household electric appliances reasonablely and effectively, is getting more and more attention. Currently, studies of waste household electric appliances recycling network focus on a determined environment single-objective level. However, few studies have addressed the uncertain environment or multi-objective problem. Besides, most studies directly assume a certain kind of take-back mode before building economic models, lack of specific analysis of waste household appliances recycling mode selection. Take-back mode selection is the premise of product recovery network design. In the light of this situation, based on the selection of take-back modes for waste household electric appliances, fuzzy environment and multi-objective product recovery network is studied. Main work and results are as follows.(1) On the basis of the existing literature, analyzed reverse logistics and waste household electric appliances recovery network design research.(2) According to the final disposal subject of the product, the waste household electric appliances recycling system is divided into the following three models:the manufacturer directly to recycling mode, the third-party recycling manufacturers processing mode, and the third-party recycling mode, which is discussed by two situations:the third-party directly to recycling mode and the third-party recycling the third-party processing mode. Four waste appliances recycling models were built and they were solved and analyzed. It turned out when the level of renewable technologies and recycling inputs changed, the choice of the optimal waste household electric appliances recycling mode also changed.(3) Taking into consideration the problem of the uncertainty of the recovery work, reverse logistics network design of waste household electric appliances in fuzzy environment was studied, and a fuzzy programming model was proposed based on the third-party enterprise. With the maxmize profit as the only objective, a variety of waste household electric appliances were considered. And the recovery amount, warehousing point and re-manufacturing center discard rate were expressed with trapezoidal fuzzy number, using fuzzy chance constrained programming to deal with the trapezoidal fuzzy number. Finally, a numerical example was assumed for solving the model application, a parameter analysis was studied to see the impact on waste household electric appliances recovery network structure with confidence level changing.(4) Based on the selection of take-back mode for waste household electric appliances and single objective recovery network fuzzy programming model, a multi-objective model in fuzzy environment was built. From the perspective of economic benefits, consumer satisfaction and environmental protection, extended the single economic objective, took into account the recovery rate, that is, both the minimize cost and the maximize recovery rate were the objective, and used triangular fuzzy numbers to describe the uncertainty of the generation of waste household electric appliances in the network. The tolerance method and the main objective method were used to solve the multi-objective model in fuzzy environment. Finally, through a numerical example, with different recovery rate requirements and confidence level, warehousing point position and grade, price subsidies point, remanufacturing center point as well as the total cost changed.
