In recent years, with the rapid development of Internet and popularization, theInternet landscape has also changed. According to CNNIC and Nielsen survey data, inrecent years, female activities increased gradually, and play an important role in therapid development of the network According to the survey directed the core of sinaWeibo users are women. Studies have found that college students are interested in usingnetwork to focus on social and public affairs, their contemplative capacity of social andpublic affairs, and the willing of participating rised by a positive trend. As the highintellectuals quality, the female students have a relatively good media literacy, thus inthe era of weibo, how do they use weibo to participate in public affairs? What isaffecting their use of microblogs to participate in social public affairs?Based on the related literature books and study, from the study of using andacceptance, media literacy, social public affairs and social gender theory, I put forwardthe research questions and hypothesis, namely the female college students use weibo toparticipate in the degree of social public affairs, way and influence factors. Study foundthat female college students in Chengdu to use Weibo participate in social public affairsinactively. The main way is focused on reading and commenting to the point of view,but in low frequency. In addition, female college students of liberal arts girls and artscolleges use weibo to participation better than the girls of science. Affecting femalecollege students in the use of Weibo to participate in social public affairs is thatperceived popular perception, perceived ease of use, perceived express demand analysis,information processing ability, weibo intention and microblog efficacy consciousness ofparticipation and interest in social concern of the public affairs...
