The invention of the computer and cyber has made computers a vital tool toenhance productivity, and thereby, humans have been in the unprecedented times---Information Age. Computer technology is applied to every aspect, ranging fromscientific research, industrial manufacturing, education, daily life, to entertainment, toname a few. The examination for public institutions of Wenshan Prefecture, animportant way to employ graduates of universities and technical institutes, possessessuch features as the enormous and increasing number of examinees, who scatter indifferent areas. To accomplish the exam managerial work in this new situation,advantage must be taken of modern management technology, like the internet and thecomputer, to assist work concerned. Hereby, this essay aims at the research anddevelopment of online registration and charging system on the basis of Web, with adesire to manage the exam registration in an effective way.The development of the registration system adopts the combination of a life-cycleapproach with a prototype approach. The overall architecture pattern of the system isB/S. This system accepts C#as its development language in the programming frame of“Asp. Net”, uses “SQL Server2008R2” as its backend database, and meanwhiledeploys in “Window Server2008”. The process of the exam registration and thefeatures have been analyzed and studied, integrated with actual demands, in thedevelopment procedure. The emphases are put on how to use and apply computernetworking technology;“. Net”, database, etc. to satisfy the various demands of users,such as an automatic verification of applicants’ eligibility, a batch printing ofexamination administration, and cooperative work among different departments. A setof exam registration system comes into existence, which is well suited for meeting localneeds, being easy, efficient and cheap to operate as well.This system is able to do the following: verifying automatically the requirementsfor applicants, authenticating, authority managing, transmitting and receiving mail,processing registration certificates, paying online and printing reports, etc. Its firstcharacteristic is a strong usability and operability; connected jointly with actual exampolicies and work procedures, the system allows departments to handle businesstogether. It has another trait, which is the ensured stability and efficiency by technology of database stored procedures, AJAX asynchronous commission,“. Net” multi-levelcache. Lastly, low coupling and good scalability also depicts the systems, due to theobject-orientation and Microsoft’s three-tier technology.This thesis thoroughly discusses the background of the issue, developmentenvironment, needs of users, and concrete realization of functions. The system hasundergone safety tests and field application after its completion. The actual operationduring two years indicates that the exam registration system can meet the designrequirements. That is, the primary mission of this issue has been completed. In addition,keeping the exam work fair, open and smooth, computer&network technologyobviously is an effective way to improve scientific management.
