With the development of information technology, teaching materials informationmanagement system is very important to teachers and students, equally important foracademic teaching management. Featuring large numbersin textbooks and cumbersomein management, teaching materials management, therefore, affects the teaching work’sprocess.So a teaching materials management system that adapts toacademicdevelopmentcan improve themanagement efficiency and the authenticity of informationexchanging.This teaching materials information management system is been developed toprivate universities only, using the Delphi as a development language, the SQL server2005as a back-end database, the B/S architecture as a development mode, and the UMLas a software modeling technology. All this technology ensures the system as auser-friendly, easy-maintain, and high-safety software system.This teaching materials information management system uses C/S and B/S modelfusion technology. First, through the B/S mode the professional teachers and studentscan do querying information, printing materials and other functions related information.Second, by C/S model the administrator can fulfill daily management and maintain.This system has four main function model divided during the procedure of design andimplementation: system management, teaching materials management, inventorymanagement, querying management. Teaching materials department is primarilyresponsible for announcing, planning, out-putting and in-putting, querying textbookinformation. Teachers fill materials information required by the department, record andsubmit the ordering textbooks to the administrator department. Materials managementstaff issue the task of teaching, and validate teaching plans. The author mainly fulfillsthe development of the daily management part ofthis teaching materials management.This thesis, around the teaching materials information management system, details thesystem’s development procedure, including requirements analysis, detailed design, andimplementation and testing etc. In the requirement analysis stage, first fulfills theoverall requirement analysis, then the function modules analysis and the systemfeasibility analyses; finally establishes the case requirement and processes requirement.In the detailed design stage, first fulfills the overall design of the system, then the decomposed functional modules and the system class diagram, the timing diagramdesign; finally fulfills detailed design of the system database. In the implementation andtesting stage, fulfills in-putting and out-putting management, materials management,system management etc. And gives related design flow chart, at the last, fulfills thesystem’s testing. It’s believed that this system will be able to play a positive role inpromoting teaching materials information management.
