Ferrous metallurgy professional skill appraisal is used to evaluate the skill levelsof the technicians in the ferrous metallurgical industry by the national labormanagement department. The purpose of establishing management information systemof the ferrous metallurgy professional skill appraisal is to improve the appraisalefficiency and adapt to the requirements of the current appraisal mechanismIn this thesis, the design and development of the professional skill managementinformation system are the main line. The tasks of the various stages of managementinformation systems are analyzed, and the key technologies during designing anddeveloping the management information system are discussed. According to theparticularity of the ferrous metallurgy professional skill appraisal management, thedrawbacks of the existing management information systems widely used are summed up.The new design and development solution is proposed improve the drawbacks, whichoffers the direction and goals for future research.Professional skill management information system is design by using the client side,application server, database server three-layer architecture. The system uses a fountainmodel, and also uses an object-oriented technology in order to improve the efficiency ofprogram code, readability and code reuse. The main characteristics of the system are toestablish the security mechanisms and safety management system at the network layer,system layer and application layer, based on of the knowledge management andinnovation management, the system has good scalability feature, it is convenient to addor remove some functions as needed.The development of the ferrous metallurgy professional skill managementinformation system experienced a feasibility study, a user demand analysis, programselection demonstration, data analysis and functional module design, code debugging,system installation and commissioning process. Ultimately realize the intended functionof the ferrous metallurgy professional skill management information system. Thesystem has been tested and meets the basic needs of users, and finally put into use andplays an important role in the ferrous metallurgy vocational skills appraisalmanagement.Of course, due to the ability and time constraints, there are some drawbacks when the system is used. I hope they will be overcome in future research experiencethrough improving level of design and development, and exploring new system in orderto achieve application better.
