Therefore, basedon Ethernet communication, this paper designs the display and control terminal of weather facsimilereceiver by applying the internet and high-performance microprocessor technology and at the same timemeeting the improvement requirements. The highlight of this new type of weather facsimile remotedisplay and control terminal is its small size, easily moving, management, application..In terms of hardware, taking ARM Cortex-M3nuclear microprocessor as the core, we havedesigned the power, Ethernet, SD card, LCD display circuit, CAN interface, RS485interface and JTAGcircuits, etc.As for the software, the orders and facsimile charts are able to be sent and received by establishingconnection between the display and control terminal and the weather facsimile receiver. The remotestorage and the search of the facsimile charts can be accomplished by setting up file system. What’smore, the receive mode control, state choice and receive plans as well as other functions can also be realized by designing the graphical man-machine interface.The system testing and results analysis have verified the functions of the system. It shows that thedisplay and control terminal possesses the functions of weather facsimile receiver, such as its control,image storage and display, etc. The design fully meets the demands of the display and control terminaland also reduces the hardware cost.
