Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is the production of the combination ofautomation technology, computer technology, the communication technology, etc.Due to its high performance, low cost, complete set of hardware, convenient to useand high reliability in harsh environment, the PLC is widely used in equipment ofindustrial control field, and known as "one of the three pillar of industrial automation",and plays an increasingly important role in various of industrial fields. However,foreign products have been monopolized the domestic market, that is very bad to thedomestic industry and the development of economy. It has become an imminentproblem to research and develop the new small integrative PLC system withindependent property rights, in order to break the monopoly of foreign companies inrelated technology, and at the same time, improve the level of domestic research inthis field. Promulgation and implementation of the international standard IEC61131-3provides opportunity for domestic researchers on software to compete with foreignmanufacturers; and in recent years, the development of advanced high performancemicrocontroller technology provides us hardware design which provides a materialbasis for us to catch up with foreign related products provides. So we put forward theproject developing new small integrative PLC system based on IEC61131-3. Thefirmware design of this PLC system is hardware fitted for small PLC system mainlyformed by increasing and modifying on the basis of the original core code ofCoDeSys3s operation system, so as to form a complete small integrative PLCrunning system. Therefore, this firmware design instructions only add the instructionsof software for hardware design part. These papers proposed a design scheme to makea new small integrative PLC system based on IEC61131-3though contrasting to athome and abroad of the PLC system design schemes. Whole system is divided intothree parts:(1) hardware design part,(2) integrative and small PLC integrateddevelopment environments (ides) design and implementation part,(3) test part of the integrative and small PLC running system. System only has realized a prototype forthe small integrative PLC system; it needs further analysis, research and debugging inperfecting the functions. If further combined with the requirements of industrialcontrol, forming a more molding product, that need to make more and more in-depthresearch. The work of this paper for the research and development of the domesticsmall integrative PLC system carried on the beneficial exploration and try.
