Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is an indispensable facility in industry automatization. The market requirement for it is enormous in our country, however, Manufacturers of foreign countries and joint venture account for the sales amount of PLC more than 90% of market in China. So it is very important for us to develop a new-type PLC with independent property right. It not only can help our country leave the passive state that PLC technology and market are monopolized by developed country, but also can promote the automatization level in our whole country.It provides the opportunity that domestic researcher competes with foreign manufacture on software that international standard IEC61131-3 is publicized and advanced and high-performance singlechip technology is developed. Under the support of Beijing Municipal Education Comittee (project number: 2002kj026), our university started the research to develop a new-type PLC system. The main task of my research is to develop an IDE (Interged developing Enviornment) for the PLC system to provide user with an intuitionistic, convenient and high-efficient programming environment based on personal computer.The first part of this paper makes a summary of PLC's developping process, domestic and international situation at present and its developing trend in future, and then give the main characteristic what the IDE software developing platform new-type PLC should provide. In Chapter 2,a system analysis and requirement analysis on this platform are made according to software engineering, and then basing on these, the detailed function requirements of the software is drew and the software's frame and core data structure of platform are designed. From Chapter 3 to Chapter 7, the autor introduce in detail the design idea of this platform software (include core data structure, user interface (UI), editor, compiler, etc). In Chapter 7 and Chapter 8, this paper introduces online test between software platform and PLC running system and the making method of the installation program. At last, this paper summarized researches I had done and pointed out the emphases in the future research work.The result of online test shows this platform can correctly compile user's programm into an executable file in PLC hardware. It is a certain trend that PLC is developed to follow the international standard. But research of domestic PLC producer barely rises. This platform not only supports multiple languages, but also each language follows IEC61131-3 standard. This paper has established the foundation to make further research t in the future.Compared with the developed country, domestic PLC industry is behind wholly. I hope my research have a little positive effect on research and development of our county's PLC.
