Design And Implementation Of Commercial Bank’s Fund Management System

With the development in fund industry, more and more investors purchase the fundproducts to manage their wealth. The commercial banks play an important role as theconsignee in the operation. At first, there were only a few fund companies and only twentiesproducts. Now dozens of companies have established, and the corresponding products haveto be counted in hundreds. So challenges come to the commercial banks as fund-consignee,as problems needed to be solved, such as how to finish the back-stage management ofselling data and profit sharing across overall outlets in thousands, and how to accomplish thedata exchanges between the banks and the fund-management companies.Currently, one commercial bank in China uses functions in six separate systems toprocess the management in fund back-stage. To provide a new way for the head office’smanagement, a new integrated system is to be built, which can improve the data-processingability and the bank’s competitive power in the industry.The thesis described the elementary functions and structure of the Fund BackgroundManagement System (FBMS), based on the business analysis in the back-stage functions,such as fee charging, fund clearing and document processing. The building procedure of theFBMS was shown in details, covering the phases of the material collection, the requirementanalysis, the overall plan, the system design, the detailed design, the programming, the test,the pre-launching, the later improvement and the ultimate launching.The thesis introduced the overall design, the function design and the implementation indetails. Considering the commercial secrets, some further details were not included in thecontext.
