The Design And Implementation Of Military Warehouse Management System

With the rapid development of computer technology and database technology, the application of information technology has become a very important part of social development. There are many characters in modern war:various goods and materials, complex battlefield information, rapidly changing battlefield situation. Therefore, the requirement of speeding up the construction of our army informatization is very urgent. Material management, as an important aspect of military management, concerning units construction in peacetime and success or failure in wartime, needs our particular attention.At present, the informatization level of grassroots units in material management is relatively low. It’s an urgent need to develop a management system which is consistent with the actual needs of the troops’ material management. Therefore, we use Visual Basic programming language and SQL Server2000database system to design a military warehouse management system. Through the design and improvement the relevant function modules of system management, out-put and in-put management, storage information management, basic information management,query statistics and good man-machine interface, we provide a modern management means and a informationalized management platform for warehouse manager. Using this system, manager can easily grasps the whole material of warehouse, flexibly computes kinds of data, scientifically allocates material. The design and implantation of the military warehouse management system create conditions for the improvement of military warehouse management’s scientization and normalization level.This paper is written according to the life cycle method. Firstly, we gives a general overview of the warehouse management system from the perspective of system planning, clarifying the target, working mechanism, internal and external environment and evaluating the feasibility of system design. Then we do system analysis based on the reality of the situation to realize the detailed requirement and prepare for the next step of system design, including organizational structure, business processes and data flow information. In the system design stage, we carry on the detailed design to the database, system interface and data code, through the E-R diagram to reflect.The operation of the system shows that the design and implementation of the military warehouse management system can meet the needs expected. This system will have broad application prospects.
