Information is the prominent characteristic of today’s society. The present network of national military education and training together with other army area has developed into considerable size. Well-equipped army areas offer all levels of military rank online study. The network system in military troops works as effective platform in purpose of achieving information resource sharing for armored forces education and training.Army troops take training according to guiding principles. Military staffs need to acknowledge various kinds of information ranging from military ordinance, regulations, teaching programs to professional knowledge such as warfare tactic, training methods and weapon performance and theory. However, the current online and information systems mainly solve the online-teaching and resources sharing problems. A comprehensive and well-developed information resource management and application system is out of production. Researches on management and application system for both armored forces and academies can solve the problem of education and training resources and information shortage in armored forces education and training.Based on current status of information resource management and application system for armored forces, the paper clarifies systemic study outline and purpose. It also discusses the principle and contents of system exploration. According to the exploration process, the study expounds the structures, functions, software technique supporting each part of the whole system and some key technique in the system. Besides, the paper mentions several technical difficulties and the solutions to solve key problems. This is a new system designed for information resources management and application for armored forces education and training.The system includes identity-recognizing subsystem, management subsystem, information resource stock subsystem, user-application subsystem and teaching material management subsystem. Based on users’personal information, the relative security requirements, military study and training demands on information resources and internet surrounding as well as online ultimate website distribution, identity-recognizing subsystem is made for dividing the whole users into different groups to log on their corresponding information resource areas. The management subsystem is designed for an independent control of foreground and background process. The foregrounding has an examination on users’information and logging activities in order to make safe information available by a rigid watching on unwarrantable information. The background application deals with information resources by ranking administration according to the contents and safety requirements of information. The stock of information resources subsystem makes a scientific classification on different types of information resources such as audio-visual teaching material stock, word-teaching material stock, equipment and wall-papers stock, regulations and laws stock, academic papers stock, online lectures stock and public sharing resources stock. User-application subsystem provides many applying functions like web viewing and download, reviewing and checking-out, resources upload, statistics analyzing, users’ communication system announcement, visitor writings and system help. Teaching material management subsystem has multi-functions. It works as automatic machine for staff in charge of teaching material job, which can realizes teaching material-planned management, teaching material stock management, teaching material statistic management, teaching material office document management and teaching material office automation.It lasts more than4years to invent and develop the system. During the preliminary research period, a lot of survey preparing work has been done. I was in charge of four portions of task. In the early period, I collected numbers of research materials and designed the system interface. Then I participated in the research task of subsystem module served for users’ operation. Besides, I also took part in the design and testing research on teaching courses management subsystem module. Because of those abundant preparing work, the system has been proved to be an efficient and helpful tool for army users.Chapter one introduces the system research background, the development and application status of similar system in China, as well as major targeted problems. Chapter two is a detailed analysis of system’s functional requirements. Chapter three mainly elaborates the overall structure and database of system design. Then the realization procedures and system test are mentioned in chapter four. The fifth is a summary of the system research and the reflections by the author involved in system development.
