China’s music talent show started by imitating and drawing lessons from foreign Reality TV shows, and it grew up with problems and controversy. After the huge success of "super girl" in2005, policy released by the SARFT in2007limited it tremendously. Since its bland return in2009, The development of Music talent show in our country has been very slow. Another peak of music talent show in2012proves that it is still a dynamic program type. Judging from the perspective of the rule of television reform, ten years a cycle, China’s music talent show has just entered the first ten years of development now, Its transformation and innovation is urgently needed. In addition, with the development of new media technology, especially the rapid growth of mobile internet, the mass media environment has changed. Traditional media is facing more and more opportunities and challenges, the transformation and innovation of music talent show cannot get away from new media. Therefore, the research of the innovation of China’s music talent show under the background of new media has a positive practical significance.This article revolves around the innovation of China’s music talent show under the background of new media. Firstly, this article discusses about the characteristics and the development of the music talent show in China. In addition, this article talks about the main types and the transmission characteristics of new media. The influence of new media on music talent show is then analyzed which includes extending the communication channels, normalizing interactive program and diversifying in a profitable way. Then this article discusses the current situation of music talent show and the shortcomings of program innovation, marketing and industry chain development. Aiming at the shortcomings mentioned above, the article proposes some strategies from the perspective of new media. In the aspect of programming, music talent show can deepen the links between networks. It can also create derived contents and upgrade interaction with the use of new media; About program marketing, music talent show can establish a micro-communication matrix. Through integrating the channels of micro-blog, We Chat, SNS etc, it can make micro-contents, produce micro-topics and form micro-interactions; In the aspect of profit, music talent show can stretch the industry chain to new media, through selling network copyright and new media products to increase the revenue. Finally, this article discusses the positive cooperation between "The Voice of China" and new media, elaborated on deepening the cooperation with Video websites, using social media and developing new media products.
