At present, Chinese TV entertainment programs is, as it were, changing fast, and the types and contents of TV entertainment programs are being explored and enriched, with more and more Chinese-style TV entertainment programs coming within audiences’ range of vision, however, as the audiences’ demand for wholesome entertainment grows, the development of Chinese TV entertainment programs is facing a turning point. It is a problem to be solved urgently for TV practitioners how to further develop the cause of Chinese TV entertainment, at the right "current" timing, on the basis of progress made in Chinese TV entertainment programs, in the background of social context and ideology. In addition, the society currently has entered a TV era focusing on entertainment, and the research on TV is in the process of being more progressive and efficient. In view of these two above problems, the research highlights the analysis of new situations emerging in national TV entertainment programs, in the current context, by incorporation of the present Chinese social context and the background of TV development, points out the misunderstandings encountered in the development of Chinese entertainment programs, recites the external excellent TV entertainment programs including America’s Next Top Model, Project Runway and The Voice to run a case analysis, for the development of the TV entertainment cause at the macro level and micro TV entertainment programs at the micro level, and thus puts forward the strategies for the development of national TV entertainment programs, with the purpose of contributing to research on development of Chinese TV entertainment programs, in the hope of breathing new life into national TV entertainment programs, to make their value not only serving a visual feast but also making a pure soul.
