With the loom machine tends toward intelligent and digitization, the requirement of the loom control system is higher and higher. At present, there is still a certain gap between domestic and world level in this area, therefore, developing advanced loom control system is a problem to solve.The subject of this research is to design the control modules of loom based on multiprocessor which contains the main control module, the weft picking and probing module, scissors selvage module. The loom control modules of this article are based on a distributed architecture with many processors, it is divided into two parts, a host and five slaves, the host is mainly used to achieve human-computer interaction, the modules of slaves responsible for completing the weaving action, the host and slaves communicate through CAN field bus. The paper introduced:Overall design of the control system; the design of main control module based on16-bit microcontroller and CPLD; the software and hardware design of weft picking and probing module based on freescale dual-core processor and DSP; the design of scissors selvage module; CAN bus control module design, including node design and the application agreement of CAN bus.The CPU selected by the control modules of this subject has strong processing ability, the hardware and software design consider the real-time, so that the control modules can complete precise control of loom system. The Experiments by some textile enterprises prove that the loom control modules designed by this subject stable and reliable performance.
