With the development of electronics,computer technology and control theory,computer control technology expands rapidly in the application of textile industry,while the focus is wide breadth loom's control method. Nowadays,Most of loomcontrol methods are electromechanical control with a lower automatics level, lowerefficiency and inferior product quality, and even without human-computer interface.In this aspect, to develop and design loom's computer control system a hugeinfluence will be induced to the flourish of our country's textile industry.There are two main aspects among all loom control methods. One is the controlof picking shuttle and propulsion;and the other is loom let off and taking up tensioncontrol strategies which determine the product's quality. Mechanical,AC servo andhydraulic loom let off control methods are the frequently used tension controlmethods. And control strategies include Fuzzy control, PID control and intelligentcontrol. In this paper, hydraulic loom let off method is proposed by establishing itsmodel with a new nonlinear tension observer and sliding mode tension observer at thesame time, which will enhance the precision of loom let off and take up tension.According to the requirement of picking shuttle, this paper presents a new angleprinciple based control method to satisfy its higher precision orientation requirement.Considering making loom as the object, this paper firstly analyzes the originalproblem of the system, proposes its computer control system design scheme,designs the schemes of its electric control system and presents its local andmonitoring software and hardware system. Furthermore, based on above works,hydraulic loom let off system's mathematical model is established. Local operationand simulating results shows that this new loom has the higher performance ondependability, monitoring ability, efficiency and quality at the same time. Underthe analysis of hydraulic loom let off, nonlinear and sliding mode tension observercontrol strategy is proposed and its validity and the effectiveness are verifiedtheoretically.
