| Ammonia is an important chemical material, which is widely used in industrialproduction. But, it will cause dangers for the improper operation.Because of itsfeatures like toxicity, flammability and explosibility, it is difficulty to disposeAmmonia. In the industrial environment, due to poor management, outdatedequipment, pipeline rupture and loose valves, Ammonia leakage occurs frequentlywhich causes a series of serious accidents. However, domestic accident preventionmeasures are not sound enough. Therefore, people can not find the dangers in thefirst place and take measures for that. Most of the existing gas monitoring systems have huge size and havedependency on the wired communication. So it is more difficult to repair and installthem. If the monitoring terminal and control terminal are in long distance or gasmonitoring systems are in tough environment, the effective monitoring will bedifficult to achieve. With the maturity of wireless sensor network theory and theemergence of ZigBee protocol, wireless sensor network has been widely applied inthe fields of environmental monitoring. This thesis adopts ZigBee wirelesstechnology to build the design scheme with real-time monitoring of ammoniaconcentration. In virtue of the advantages of small sizes, easiness to move, andautomatically networking, the layout of wireless sensor nodes is very convenient. Inrecent years, people have begun to apply the monitoring of polluted gases bywireless technology, and the researches at home or abroad are also very active. At first, this thesis introduces the purpose and significance of the ammonia gasmonitoring, and analyses the characteristics and risk of ammonia leakage. Then, it completes the design of the hardware and software systems of terminal nodes andcoordinator. LabVIEW design the monitoring interface of host computers. By usingthe MQ137ammonia sensor in the terminal nodes and collecting ammoniaconcentration data through STM8microcontroller, then the ZigBee module sends thewireless data to the coordinator. The host computer reads the ammonia concentrationdata through the serial pot. When the ammonia concentration exceeds the presetvalue, the GSM module will send the location of leakage in the form of shortmessages to staff. The rational arrangement of sensor nodes in manufacturing sitescan avoid the mass diffusion of ammonia for fear of threatening the safety ofpeople’s life and property. |
