Research And Application Of FMEA In The Technical Risk Management Of TFT LCD Product Development Project

Based on analyzing the concept and theories of the technical risk management deeply and the project characteristic of TFT LCD (Thin Film Transistor-Liquid Crystal Display), the paper gives the application of technical risk management from two aspects including design process and manufacture process, With the tools of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect criticality Analysis), manage the technical risk on TFT LCD product development project effectively and achieved good results.Technical risk is the main risk of TFT LCD product development project. Firstly, the article points out that the technical risk management is a technology implementation tools, its goals is identification and analysis of uncertainties, and elimination or reducing to an acceptable level. Secondly, elaborate technical risk management theory of TFT LCD product development project through the design process and manufacture process of product development by analyzing four process of technical risk identification, risk analysis, risk response, and control. Thirdly, using FMEA as a preventive tool and analyzing the theory of two process of TFT LCD product development project, build two different FMEA management model according to design process and manufacture process. Finally, verify the feasibility of the technical risk management on TFT LCD product development project by application of FMEA on actual development project, meanwhile ensuring the smooth progress of development project.Analysis process, flow design and model construction, manifest the organic synthesis of the FMEA theory and the risk management theory on TFT LCD development project. Simultaneously, control the technical risk on different process effectively, achieve the expectant result and create a certain economic benefits.
