The main contributions are as follows:1. Analyze the basic theory of project cost management and make a comparison of the advantage and disadvantage between different project cost managements using the theories of value engineering, activity cost control and manufacturing costs, therefore laying a solid foundation for the overall design of cost management information system in the next step.2. Analyze the business requirement of the cost management information system. Drawn the flow chart of software based on the demand of the spiral model analysis method, providing a reliable basis for software production.3. Design the overall structure of the software. Develop the whole system with the MVC pattern. According to the relational database structure design, database design of the three paradigm of previous requirements analysis for further verification, to ensure that the software design of each module meet the design need and use.4. Examine the demand analysis and code to make sure that the code coverage reached100%. Make use of the black box testing as well as stress testing, test the function and performance of the entire system to ensure data integrity. This thesis makes a detailed description on the design thought and execution solution of the construction project cost management software system. Furthermore, a deep study is conducted on the overall database design, system security design, realization of each functional module, and key technology and algorithms in the software development under the requirements of engineering project. The goal is supposed to be achieved through the research on the current study that we can control the cost scientifically and efficiently with the help of the cost accounting system for the construction enterprise. This thesis could serve as a guideline for the construction enterprise on how to practice the project management. Meanwhile, it has more or less significance for the cost management of engineering project.
