Drop impact is a common problem in engineering, but the physical tests are high cost and low accuracy. With the rapid development of finite element technology, drop impact simulation analysis has captured more attentions of people. The structure can be repeatedly modified according to the drop simulation results of product, so the research and development cycle of product is shortened.First, this paper discusses the concept and theory of the finite element method, researches on features and development trend of the ANSYS software, expounds the analysis process of the ANSYS Workbench. Then, the CAD model diagram of camera lens is imported into ANSYS software. It is analyzed by ANSYS Workbench. After setting drop boundary condition and defining material properties, the model is solved and calculated. Get the nephogram of maximum stress and strain and the related data of the camera lens under five kinds of drop gestures. Because the lens is broken, camera lens structure need be optimized. The improved model is analyzed. Its results show that the structure design is reasonable.The subject named the research on drop impact theory and computer simulation technology of the camera lens can provide a basis for the design and development of related products. It improves the competitiveness of enterprises in reducing research and development costs etc.
