Design And Development Of Enrollment System Based On The Registration Enrollment Policy In Jiangsu Province

Over the years Jiangsu province keeps on promoting the informationization of university enrollment and educational examination, which has achieved significant results and obtained good social repercussions. At present, Jiangsu province has built and utilized a series of application system, at the service of multiple important parts in the system of socialistic higher education.Our project consists of the design, development, construction and operation of the enrollment system in Jiangsu province which is based on the overall business processes of a new enrollment mode for higher vocational candidates-the registration enrollment policy, and focuses on business division and cooperation of colleges recruitment and enrollment management. The system includes two subsystems-the field management subsystem and the college pre-admission subsystem.The main functions of the former are recruitment plan management, arrange management, enrollment inspection management, enrollment audit management, admission list print and query&statistics; and the main functions of the latter are field data download, major distribution for examinees, data upload and admission inquiry functions. Two subsystems exchange and transmission information and data over a wide area network(WAN), complete the registration and enrollment collaboratively according to uniform business process and operating standards. The main contents are as follows:The first chapter elaborates the research background and application value, overviews the domestic and foreign researches and ideas of university enrollment mechanism, summarizes the process of entrance examination informationization, and then comes up with the contents, organization and structure of this paper.The second chapter analyses and compares theories about system development method and technologies relates to system development practice using the bibliometrics method, including management information system development method, system architecture and middleware technology and its application.The third chapter firstly analyses the system requirements, proposes an overall system architecture according to the given demands, and then design function for each module and database structure, among which, demands analysis mainly consists of business process and state transfer process analysis; the overall system architecture includes system development technology, topology structure and system structure; system function design first describe the overall function of the system, then describe the function of each subsystem in detail; system database structure explains the storage structure of main data table and code table in the system.The fourth chapter solves a key problem in system development, namely information data exchange and transmission between subsystems throughout the wide area network. In other words, the problem of data transmission between the client group and the server. In this chapter, data access technology based on EAServer middleware which is developed by Sybase is deliberated, so that the EAServer middleware and Oracle database server are connected. The objective is to ensure that data can update in real time, and the data is consistent between the subsystems at the same time.The fifth chapter elaborates the core logics that are emphasized in the development and implementation of the system, including business process control, college data generation, pre-admission data verification in field management subsystem, major pre-admission, middleware invoking in college pre-admission subsystem, and the exchange of data between the two subsystems. Besides, the chapter presents the practical application situation of the sysem.The sixth chapter summarizes key points in the research work and system development which can be used as reference, indicates the insufficiency, and makes a direction for work in the next step.
