The application of the On-line Enrollment System for the National Admission to Colleges offers a reliable and standardized source of student data for the informational management of admission, but there still exist the following problems: 1. The informational systems of various colleges and universities are independent, thus impossible to share the data; 2. It cannot adapt to the changes of recruitment reforms, such as the follow-up management of the recommended students; 3. The functions of the system are comparatively too ordinary to realize the decision-making analysis and so forth.The thesis gives a general review of the development of the software, summarizes the characteristics of the development process, and probes into the key techniques and methods in software engineering field. On the basis of the above, it summarizes the actuality of the application of the system, analyzes the characteristics of the B/S Structure and the C/S Structure and their differences. It also introduces the basic knowledge and strategies of software test. A new extended authority management is provided to build sets with conflict functions to separate them from others, therefore, the system security is guaranteed.. Furthermore, this new method has been implemented through unified modeling language (UML), and applied in some systems successfully.In combination with the characteristics of the software development process and the above algorithm, and in combination with the actuality of the application of the system, the thesis designs and realizes a system of enrollment information management through requirement analysis of the system. The thesis offers a framework of the functional modules of the system and the related algorithm, and the detailed design steps.
