Indoor Environment Monitoring System Based On Zigbee Wireless Sensor Networks

With the rapid development of technology of wireless sensor and physicalnetworking applications technology, wireless sensor network technology has beenwidely used in industry, agriculture, defense and other fields, and also gradually usedin people’s daily lives. Therefore, it has broad application prospects tobuild an indoorenvironment monitoring system to improve people’s lives and office quality.Through the analysis and design of a prototype system for indoor integratedenvironmental detection, promote and apply the wireless sensor network technologywhich is based on Zigbee into the field of the indoor environment monitoring, for thepurpose of improving people’s living environment and building the technologicalfoundation of their office environment.This paper gives an overview of the study and application of wireless sensornetworks at home and abroad from the sensing data acquisition technology, sensingdata storage and indexing techniques, to data management and information predictiontechnology, intuduces the application background and prospects of smart home both athome and abroad, involves in the core technologies of this system which refer toZigbee, QT technology, API, Linux, etc.. Meanwhile, based on the application of theindoor environment monitoring, the paper has analyzed the application requirementsand the overall function of the present system, designed the system structure toachieve the overall functionality and the specific content of indoor environmentmonitoring wireless sensor network based on Zigbee, and analyzed, designed anddone equipment selection of network hardware structure. It focuses on methods ofnetworking of the elaborate network and its implementations, including test methods,test procedures and test results of main communication function of informationcollection network. It also elaborates realization methods of the main functions of theindoor environment monitoring system which is based on Zigbee wireless sensornetwork, including the information sensing functions, information transmissionfunction, the function of data acquisition, data processing and service functions.Based on the analysis and discussion of designing methods of indoor environmentalmonitoring system, the paper has expounded implementation case of subsystem of thesmart home monitoring indoor environmental, discussed the implementation details ofthe designing process which is based on successfully application into the smart home monitoring system.All in all, the paper has initially built a prototype of an indoor environmentmonitoring system, to provide a reference for further construction of the practicalapplication of the indoor environment monitoring system, therefore, it has sometheoretical significance and practical value.
