In recent years, with the gradual maturity and popularity of wireless LANtechnology and the continuous improvement of university informationization, digitalcampus network has gradually become important teaching equipment for the moderncampus, and the main way of teaching activities of the staff and students andaccessing resources and information. The needs of wireless Internet such as teachersand students’ mobile PCs, mobile phones, and tablet PCs are growing. Therefore, theproblems, such as how to provide wireless network access environment for the openplaces such as university office, teaching building, library, internship training room, student dormitory, and playgrounds, and how to overcome the limitations oftraditional wired network to resolve the demand for wireless network access, havebecome the issues that many colleges and universities need to resolve. At present, the application range of wireless network is growing, and wirelessnetwork application technology is becoming more and more mature. The standards ofapplication are changing with each passing day. Although there are many programsfor wireless network access, only select the appropriate method and technology totransform the network in colleges, starting from actual needs and applicationenvironment, and not blindly pursuing the latest technology, will it be possible toachieve the best effects. This paper first analyzes and compares the two modes of fat AP and fit AP fromthe aspects such as the wireless network transmission technology, networkarchitecture, access point technology and overall performance, and then chooses fitAP mode which has better performance of all aspects as the architecture operatingmode of the wireless network; second, according to different actual demands, thispaper designs the AP coverage program, channel planning, and wireless securitycertification. Besides, it also illustrates the overall design of the network coverageprogram. Teachers and students are most concerned about the signal and transmissionrate of the wireless network. So from the perspective of the wireless networkmanagement and certification programs and according to the actual needs of thedesign, this paper determines the AP coverage of campus wireless network and802.1X authentication technology, and also illustrates that bandwidth manager and802.1X authentication technology combined with fit AP mode in the wireless campus network has been realized. Finally, through the verification and analysis of networktesting, it proves that the design program achieves the desired effect, and that it canmeet the needs of users in all respects. This paper focuses on the research and design of the wireless networkconstruction in colleges and universities based on the fit AP networking mode, andgives a comprehensive picture of the whole process of the transmission, architectureand design of the wireless network, providing good reference for the construction ofthe campus wireless network as well as the design of engineering and technicalpersonnel.
