With the rapid development of mobile communication technology and the payment technology, and the popularization of the intelligent mobile phone, the mobile phone payment time has come. The China UnionPay Company released the "China cup mobile payment technology standard" which will further promote the rapid development of the domestic mobile payment industry. The SD card-based smart phone mobile payment program is one of the main programs of China UnionPay. To achieve remote payment, we need to insert smart SD card with user account information into smart mobile phone, and with the support of mobile pay client and cellular network we can realize remote online payment and also near field payment.However, the smart SD card mobile payment solution is not perfect. It is only suitable for the mobile phone with scalable SD storage card, and with NFC function. And it is not suitable for well-used iPhone, so there are some limits to promote this solution on iPhone. The purpose of this thesis is to apply the smart SD card on iPhone platform and achieve the mobile payment on iPhone. In that case not only the limits are resolved and also the iPhone users can experience the convenient arising by mobile payment.This thesis begins with an overview of the concept of a mobile phone payment system, focusing on the composition and principles of mobile payment terminal based on smart SD card. Then, it proposes the whole solution to terminal by the analysis of the functional requirements for embedded mobile payment terminal on iPhone and clearly focuses on the design of embedded modules and mobile clients. After that, it introduces the design of embedded hardware circuit design module, the master software and related agreements, as well as the iPhone client software design. In the design process, using a hierarchical design and modular design makes the system design more clear. Then, a detailed description of how the iPhone embedded mobile payment terminal is implemented, including embedded module hardware implementations, to build software development platform for embedded software modules of the master, and the realization of the iPhone client. It also describes the results of a joint debugging system. Finally, we summarize the main work of this thesis and look to the future of application design according to the state of industrial technology.Currently, the iPhone prototype for embedded mobile payment terminal has completed. Customer account information in Smart SD card can be accessed by logging iPhone client terminal. A near-field communication between the iPhone handset and contactless reader has also achieved, and the biggest near-field communication distance up to 10 cm.
