Compared with traditional2G networks, the access interface bandwidth of3rd-generation(3G) network has been greatly improved to carry much more businesses. PTN(Packet Transport Network) technology received increasing attention by operators for its flexible hierarchical QoS mechanisms, great OAM management ability of Ethernet link level and network level and the side of interface. It is Needless to say that PTN has been the mainstream bearer technology in the transport network of next generation. However, in an era of full-service, operators are facing a new challenge that the construction mode of single bearer technology, with the coexistence of multiple networks can not meet the needs of operators’development. To better support mobile data, private line, the development of fixed broadband services, and saving the cost of network construction as well as operation and maintenance complexity, the construction of a network with integrated bearing full-service and the capacity of future evolution has become global operators’consensus. The routing type IPRAN(IP Radio Access Network), based on IP/MPLS, has become the choice of integrated service network in the future for operators since its plentiful protection, dynamic routing, QoS mechanisms, enhanced OAM features, end-to-end network management with the perfect clock program. The IPRAN technology background and characteristics will be briefly introduced in Chapter1; the existing IPRAN network solutions are introduced in Chapter2; the configuration scenarios, L3VPN service, PW protection service, MS-PW as well as Iayer2and Iayer3bridging service are described in Chapter3; the basic structure and functions of MSMP(Multi-Service Management Platform) are presented in Chapter4; the detailed IPRAN business configuration designs of program are described in Chapter5; the test instance, results and conclusions will be given in Chapter6.
