| Nowadays, online publishing is a hot issue in the publishing industry,which has important significance and value. Online publishing enriches theform of publication, reduces costs, and increases circulation. It has become anew economic growth point of publishers. As a new technology, idea andlifestyle, online publishing has a significant impact on the concept, operationalmode and the pattern of traditional publishing, but it also increasingly bringsenormous challenge to the traditional publishing.The core of online publishing industry is copyright protection. Thecopyright protection of online publishing has always been a complex problemto the copyright owners, disseminators and users which may affect the healthyand sustainable development of the online publishing industry at any time.Therefore, we need to study the copyright protection of online publishing,construct the completed online copyright protection mechanism, maintain thebalance of interests between the copyright owners and users, thus contributeto the development and prosperity of human science and culture. It is not onlythe embodiment adapts to scientific and technological progress, but alsoconducive to meet the needs of economic development.This article starts from the relevant concepts of online publishing. It isbased on the previous research findings, combined with the domesticdeveloping trend of copyright protection of online publishing. It intends to usethe related theory of communication and economy, systematically explore thecopyright protection issues of our online publishing and the reasons for theseproblems, sum up the experience of digital copyright protection abroad, andpropose solutions to the problem of copyright protection of our onlinepublishing.
